She was initially diagnosed with right breast infiltrated ductal carcinoma. She then underwent right modified mastectomy on May 15th, 1995. She then found a lump on Left breast, ultrasound confirmed a solid mass at 2:00 o’clock of left breast. She then underwent Left modified mastectomy on October 23rd, 1995.
She was offered chemotherapy and hormone treatment, she declined, instead she search for alternative therapy-Acupuncture and herbal Medicine. She was initially treated by Dr. Deng, Who practices of Traditional Chinese Medicine. When Dr. Deng relocated, this patient was referred to me. I started treat her since 1996. She is a very lovely, kind woman.
About 10 years ago, when a breast cancer patient survival for 5 years, we as oncologists considered that patient was cured. All the treatment were discontinued. Now, evidences showed that patient with breast cancer can have recurrence in 10 or even 15 years later. So did my patient.
In the winter of 2004, my patient was shoveling snow and noticed pain on her left chest. She then underwent bone scan, the result showed bone metastasis. Of course, that is devastated news to her, she was offered the chemo, hormone treatment, again, she declined. She came to see me. She cried at my office, talking about get ready of her will, and so on. I comforted her by saying “you concentrate to get well, I help you to stable disease…” I also said to her “ I might not be able to cure you, but we manage to live normal life”.
Since that day, patient is taking herbal medicine which I designed only for her (true personalized medicine, and changing formula on follow up visit). Now nearly 10 years after diagnosed bone metastasis, she is treatment free and lives fully, enjoy doing her job and taking care of her friends and family.
She reported NO side effects during the treatment and herbal medicine is affordable.
